GLASS BALLS

Glass microspheres are a precision blasting medium for damage-free cleaning, tolerance maintenance and are also suitable for deburring and satin finishing of metal parts made of aluminum, brass or stainless steel. Their chemical inertness (insoluble in water or oil) ensures that the parts being treated will not be contaminated. The high-quality, durable soda-lime glass microspheres (free of free silica) are made from recycled glass in France.

Application

Impact treatment, Microblasting, Cleaning of rubber molds, glass products, Deburring, Satin finishing of stainless steel and light alloys, Appearance of stainless steel and light alloys, Post-processing of 3D prints from additive manufacturing SLS or MJF
*Note: pressure should not exceed 4 bar to avoid breaking the beads and creating square glass.

CORNER GLASS

Angle grinding glass is made from recycled soda-lime silicate glass, which is crushed and sieved to obtain angular particles. The particles have sharp edges, making them effective for polishing and cleaning. Glass powder is a chemically inert product that does not contain iron. It is made from recycled glass, which helps reduce waste.

Application

Sandblasting and cleaning of metal surfaces, surface preparation before painting or removing rust and dirt. Smooth polishing of various metal and concrete surfaces. Stone finishing, grinding and polishing of precious stones and building materials. Can be used both in cabinets and with a free jet sander.

CERAMIC BALLS

Ceramic microspheres are one of the best choices when it comes to shot blasting. They offer higher strength than glass microspheres and, due to their lightness, require a reasonable projection power. They are made of very durable zirconium oxide and are iron-free, allowing the processing of stainless steel and aluminum. Ceramic microspheres are a guarantee of durability and efficiency

Application

Impact machining, lapping, surface cleaning, satin finishing, polishing, shot peening, chemical grinding, deburring and additive/3D manufacturing SLS or MJF

BROWN MOLTEN ALUMINUM

A mineral, angular and very resistant abrasive, perfectly suited for stripping metal parts. This very hard aluminium oxide can be sprayed a large number of times and is widely recommended in the bag blasting cabinet. Brown corundum is produced by fusing bauxite and high purity aluminium oxide in an electric arc furnace at temperatures above 2000°C. Its high titanium dioxide (TiO2) content gives it great strength and allows it to be excellently recycled. Brown corundum is an aluminium oxide that offers complete chemical neutrality. Its low density allows the processing of fine sheet metal without deforming it, as it can be sprayed at low pressure.

Application

Blasting in the cabin, preparation before painting, paint stripping, cleaning rust, scale, corrosion, old paint, glass engraving, removing burrs, satin finishing, creating unevenness.

WHITE MOLTEN ALUMINUM

White corundum is a high-purity alumina. It is much harder than brown corundum, free of impurities and suitable for applications that do not tolerate the presence of iron oxide because it is non-ferrous. White corundum is produced by melting bauxite and high-purity alumina in an electric arc furnace at temperatures exceeding 2,000°C.

Application

Sandblasting of non-ferrous materials, preparation before painting, paint removal, cleaning of rust, scale, corrosion, old paint, glass engraving, deburring, satin finishing, roughening, polishing/matting, glass and resin bonded grinding wheels.

TYPE II PLASTIC MEDIA

The plastic guarantees perfect cleaning without damaging the original surface thanks to its high-pressure projection and flexibility. It is a so-called scrubbing abrasive. This medium is intended for use ideally in a pressure bag cabin and for multiple spraying. This abrasive is a thermosetting urea amino polymer. Type II is the most widely used and versatile medium for surface treatment. Its hardness is average in the panel of thermoformed plastic media. It can be used for surface treatment in both dry and wet environments.

Application

Removal: Painting hulls or other parts made of aluminum, titanium, magnesium or composite materials, bodywork without the need to cover chrome and glass. Cleaning without removing material: Molds, extruder screws, tools, parts, removing carbon deposits, printed circuit boards/components. Scrubbing: Markings/lettering on various materials such as plastic/glass.

TYPE III PLASTIC MEDIA

The plastic guarantees perfect cleaning without damaging the original surface thanks to its high-pressure projection and flexibility. It is a so-called “scrubbing” abrasive. This medium is intended for use ideally in a pressure bag cabin and for multiple spraying. Type III is a thermosetting melamine aminopolymer. Melamine is the most aggressive and hardest of the thermoformed plastic media (6 times more aggressive than urea – type II). It must also be chosen carefully to avoid damaging delicate materials. It can be used for surface treatment in both dry and humid environments.

CALCIUM SILICATE - SCOREX

Scorex® is a blasting abrasive made from blast furnace slag, also known as calcium silicate. It is intended for cleaning steel and stone/concrete surfaces by spraying and for removing rolling ladders, rust, old paint, dirt, etc. It is suitable for SA-3, SA-21/2 and SA-2 levels, as well as SA-1, also known as sweeping cleaning. It is very suitable for cleaning stone and concrete (facade cleaning) and also for sanding wood in fine grit because it does not contain iron particles. Scorex® is precisely processed and calibrated and fully complies with ISO 11126-6 and 11127. It contains less than 1% free crystalline silica.

Application

Stripping and surface preparation of all types of materials including steel, stone, brick or wood.
Use in mobile sandblasters

IRON SILICATE

Iron silicate is produced during the smelting of ore concentrates. This is passed through a groove and granulated at a temperature of approximately 1250 °C using a pressurized water jet with a controlled temperature. After cooling in a fresh water tank, the fine particles are separated from the granulate produced in this way. Iron silicate is produced in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11126-3. It is a glassy amorphous slag that does not absorb water. No crushing or grinding processes are involved in the production of the abrasive. As a result, the individual abrasive particles do not break and retain their extreme hardness and toughness, which applies to all particle sizes. Suitable for SA-3, SA-2½, SA-2 and SA-1. Contains less than 1% free crystalline silica, so it is approved for dry blasting.

Application

Cleaning and degreasing of metal and stone/concrete, removal of chips, rust, old paint and dirt. Use in mobile sandblasters, airbrushing machines.
